What is the difference in an Organic seed or a Regular Seed?

Angie and I both love to garden, we enjoy watching our seeds turn to plants, and our plants turn to vegetables that we can enjoy. Our gardens are organic from start to finish, and believe me it is easier than you think.

Organic seeds are readily available at most stores including Walmart. Organic seeds are about $1.oo more per pack but worth every penny for peace of mind. What is the difference you may ask? Organic seeds are grown organically using sustainable methods from start to finish, which means that there were no pesticides, or chemical fertilizers used on the land they were grown on for at least 3 years which are the standards set forth to be Certified Organic Farming.

Regular Seeds are planted and harvested with pesticides and chemical fertilizers and planted on lands without sustainable practices that impact our environment in a negative manner. Regular seeds can also be genetically altered to produce bigger fruits or vegeatables therefore taking away from the natural state of the seed itself and cheating you out of a natural food.

What if I buy regular seeds and grow them organically? Growing anything organic is beneficial but please remember the fruits of your labor will not be truly organic. A regular seed will still grow a plant that is altered through dna, injected with hormones, or still have the residue of the pesticide and chemicals used to grow it in the seed itself. Take to heart the saying "We are a product of our own environment" the next time you go to buy your seeds and remember you deserve nothing but the best and that is Organic.
