There are many ways for us to help in our community every day, and Earth Day gives an excuse to do a little extra. The Environmental Protection Agency has events and ideas listed on their website (http://www.epa.gov/earthday/share.html). You can find activities in your area to take part in, learn about the history of Earth Day and it's founder, Gaylord Nelson. (http://nelsonearthday.net/) Did you know that before 1970, factories spewed toxins into the atmosphere, and dumped them into nearby streams, without any consequence whatsoever? History repeats itself only if we don't learn from it. So let's take the time to show our kids what we can do to help the earth, and make a plan for Earth Day!
Thank you for caring about our earth and our children who will inherit it!
Love, The Little Seed Family
