Here's what you'll need...
First, melt the butter and chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat... don't forget to stir constantly! After your concoction has melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar. Next, add the eggs and vanilla.... stir until smooth! If you are using nuts, add them now. Stir in the flour and blend well (the batter will be thick).
Grease an 8 inch by 8 inch baking pan with butter, pour the batter in and spread evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
