Little Surprises

Today was a great day to go on an adventure and boy were we surprised. We ventured out as a family for a nature walk on our 4 acres. We saw that there was some beautiful things popping up in hidden places. Toads were playing in the wetland area in amongst the different grasses. There was a columbine growing parcariously in the weeds, poking its little purple and yellow head out. Best of all a bird built a nest in the old tire rim that has been recycled to act as a hose storage. Three little baby birds were sleeping snuggly in the warm afternoon sun. What a moment to share with my sons!
