The natural occurrences that found their way to the shores of Japan have been both shocking and humbling. The reality of mother nature's power over humanity serves as a reminder to us: we are in this thing called "life" together. We are reminded that petty insignificant situations are, just that. President Obama addressed the nation regarding the devastation, and the hope he holds for the future of Japan.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's a relief to see that, in the end, we do our best as citizens of this planet to come to one another's aid.
