Whatever the occasion, juices are always a great treat. They are refreshing, delicious and naturally nutritious. They are a tasty way of hydration for our children, including much needed electrolytes for their growing bodies. Juicers are a wonderful investment in a healthy diet. It's a simple and easy way to include more fruits and vegetables in ours and our kids' diets. One of the greatest benefits of juicing is lost however, when they are store-bought and prepackaged. They are often flash-pasteurized, killing all the bacterium, but also taking the natural enzymes and amino acids along with them. Unless you buy your juices from Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or other all-natural grocery stores, artificial sweeteners are also added for unnecessary extra flavor. When we juice fresh vegetables and leafy greens, drinking them fresh, it is a great way to not only get vitamins, plant proteins and nutrients. If you drink your juice within 30 minutes of making it, you also reap the wonderful benefits of natural, living amino acids and enzymes. When they're living and still buzzing around, they work with our bodies for a great boost of natural energy without the crash.
If you're going to invest in some spring cleaning, do at least one thing to spring clean your body!
