We think this Feature Friday is very special and we know you will agree! A wonderful member of the iSanctuary community graciously composed this week's feature to encourage us all to "purchase with purpose"...

iSanctuary employs young women rescued from human trafficking in both India and the US through the production and sale of fashion jewelry. iSanctuary is a social entrepreneurship that offers rehabilitation opportunities to survivors of human trafficking through educational programs, vocational training, and employment opportunities. With projects in Orange County, California, and Mumbai, India, iSanctuary works with survivors of human trafficking to provide them with necessary tools for reintegration: education, medical assistance, life skills counseling, and financial stability. iSanctuary’s India program employs girls ages 15-25, who have been rescued from the commercial sex trade and taught the skill of making beautiful hand-made jewelry. 

Proceeds are set aside for the girls, enabling them to become self-sufficient once they transition out of the shelters, and helping them to re-gain a sense of dignity, self-worth, and hope. In Orange County, women rescued from human trafficking in Southern California are provided with professional development opportunities and employment within theiSanctuary jewelry business. iSanctuary’s goal of helping human trafficking survivors heal, thrive and reintegrate is made possible through the generosity and selfless devotion of time and resources from community members, partner organizations, volunteers and advocates.
