The Little Seed

tree hugging with style

With graduation season in the works, we thought a time capsule craft would be a perfect addition for your child. It's wonderful to start teaching your child to envision where they want to be, while remembering where they once were. So grab that old mason jar and some mementos and let's get started!

Here's what you'll need

mason jar

paint

paper

pen

picture

mementos

Have your child write a letter of where they want to be in a year or 5 (depending on when you want to give them the time capsule back). The letter can also include their favorite thing to do, favorite shows to watch, etc. Add a recent picture of them, so they can see how much they have changed when they finally open the capsule. Have them pick a couple things to add into the jar that they are ok to let go of - maybe a copy of their last report card or stickers. Now, have them paint the outside of their time capsule. The rest is all about the wait!
