Crafty Wednesday is here and we have an 'groovy' project for the family. It's time to repurpose those white shirts or add some spark into those plain white onesies. This tie-dye experience is safe, non-toxic and a great activity to do with the little ones. After all, who doesn't like to partake in a little tie dye experience? So grab that white onesie, some kool-aid and let's get ready for some fun...
Here's what you'll need...
white article of clothing
kool-aid colors
vinegar
bowls
rubber bands
Take one packet of each color kool-aid you wish to use and place in a bowl. Add 1 ounce of vinegar to each bowl and mix until it is completely dissolved. Roll and twist different parts of your clothing and secure with a rubber band. Dip each rubber band section into the color of you choice. Keep the rubber bands on and hang to dry in the sun. Once dried remove the rubber bands and check out the tie died creation. To set the colors, iron with a cloth between on medium-high heat. Wait 24 hours and wash separately. After this your child will be ready to rock their new tie died creation.
