Let's face it....winter makes us want to cook! And when we break out the pots and pans, herbs are soon to follow. Why not make your own planter, so that your basil and oregano can be the freshest out there? So get your green thumb out and let's get started!
Here's what you'll need...
- wood planter box
- plastic lining
- hot glue gun
- soil
- herbs of your choice
We went to a local hardware shop and got a wood planter, plastic liner and already grown herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme to be exact). Hot glue your plastic liner to the inside of your planter, spread a layer of soil at the bottom and arrange your herbs accordingly. Fill in remaining gaps with soil and give a light water. Is this easy or what? You can even get chalkboard paint and either swipe directly on the box or make sticks to mark which herbs are placed where. Have fun with this - we did!
