Can you believe chalkboards are now considered "old school"? It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the 5th grade classroom smelling the chalk dust and occasionally hearing that awful screech! Well, chalkboards are now so "old school" they are cool! Those dusty blackboards, that many of us despised, are making a comeback in home decor and children's playrooms! Share a piece of you're childhood with your kids in a chic new way!

 

Here's what you will need...

Old/Thrifted small table or child sized furniture

Chalkboard paint (found at any hardware or craft store)

Chalk

Imagination!

Clean the piece of furniture thoroughly and sand if necessary. Paint on the black chalkboard finish! Let dry......and VOILA! You've got yourself the hippest piece of furniture around! Let the kids draw, erase, and draw again for endless fun!
