- Heifer.org. They train families in need around the world how to care for livestock suited to their environment and then provide the livestock so that the families have food plus income from the livestock. The string attached is the agreement that the family receiving the gift will make their own gift of training and livestock to another family in need in their community within a year. It is an excellent program.
