Unplug items

This was such a fun way to get the attention of all of those Twilight readers! Kids and parents alike know about Vampires sucking blood thanks to the wonderful movies/books out today - but to put it in a context of saying your microwave is sucking energy out of your house - so original and great! Kudos to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for this unique way of teaching!

And it is so true, we try to make sure things that are not being used, are unplugged. We aren't perfect - but we strive to each month to get our power bill lower than the month before. Sometimes it is a contest the first week after a new bill arrives to run around the house to see what is plugged in that isn't being used!
