The Little Seed

tree hugging with style

Okay - i'm a lapsed unitarian pantheist - don't belong to a church or a synagogue or a temple. trying to be a good person so i am always looking for charitable volunteer activities to do with my kids. We volunteer sometimes downtown at St. Francis - a charity that serves hot meals to the LA homeless population as well as providing weekly boxes of food to indigent families with young children. but the hours for that are very limited.

as a family we have made a commitment to one charity activity a month; i know it isn't much but with 2 parents working full-time that's all we can do for now.

it's hard to find charities that offer volunteer opportunities for younger kids - what are you guys doing to teach your children about the importance of 'giving back'?!?!?!
